The Mental Health and Well-being of LGBTQ Youth who are Intersex
DEC. 3, 2021 — Much of the current research on intersex communities focuses on medical treatment — and lumps all intersex youth in with trans, nonbinary, and other gender variant youth — leaving findings specific to intersex young people, and their mental health, largely unknown. This report uses data from a national sample of over 1,000 intersex youth ages 13-24 and grows our understanding of the mental health and well-being of this often overlooked group.
