Implementation of anti-transgender state laws, such as those in these cases, have been shown to increase suicide attempts among transgender and nonbinary youth January 13, 2026 – Today, The Supreme Court of the United States will hear oral arguments in West Virginia v. Supreme Court Greenlights Healthcare Discrimination for Transgender Youth in U.S. v. Skrmetti 

Anti-transgender state laws – such as the one upheld in this case – caused up to a 72% increase in suicide attempts among transgender and nonbinary youth June 18, 2025 – Today, The Supreme Court of the United States decided to uphold a Tennessee law that bans certain medicines for transgender youth while allowing them to remain readily available for all other youth in the case, United States v.
