Meet Parker

Growing up in Wisconsin, Parker had to come out twice: first as bisexual, then as nonbinary. They found that knowledge from resources like The Trevor Project was power, and so Parker wanted to use their expertise in user experience to make a difference for other LGBTQ+ young people as well. Parker developed Q Guide, an LGBTQ+ app providing educational resources for parents and allies. Parker says that seeing a review from one parent whose son’s coming out was made easier by the app was enough to feel pride in the action they took.

Jake Shane (Octopusslover8) is an influencer and comedian who went viral for his hilarious reenactments of historical events on TikTok. Honoring Asher: A Family’s 25-Year Commitment to LGBTQ+ Youth

Lisa Kleinman and her family are generous supporters of The Trevor Project’s mission. Lisa experienced the tragic loss of her nephew, Asher, who would be turning 24 this year on August 12.  Following Asher’s passing, Lisa and her family made a 25-year commitment to honor Asher’s memory through their peer-to-peer campaign to help The Trevor Project support LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.
